Inspired by Japanese scroll paintings, I took to using only half my view finder.

These images were composed for a 1x3 aspect ratio.

I set myself the challenge to try to work with negative space. In a tight frame the eye has nowhere to wander, what is in the frame must engage and lead viewer.

This is a work in progress - I will return to it and refine my way in it. I haven't yet found what I was seeking.
