Kathmandu is notable for it's ubiquitous religious activity. Swyambunath is an ancient religious site sitting on a hilltop in the Kathmandu valley. It is primarily Buddhist, but also revered by Hindus.

The temple starts to wake up before sunrise, some people coming early for devotions. Once the sun warms the stupa, the monkeys who spend the night there come pouring out and down the hillside.
